Circle Strings partnered with Hark to design and develop a website that reflected the quality of the instruments they produce: modern, refined and built with the utmost care. Hark worked with the Circle Strings team to overhaul their site architecture, clarify their offerings and create a visually rich online experience. The result? A website that tells the story of their craft and celebrates the artistry at the heart of their brand.

At the start of this project, Circle Strings didn’t have a clear vision of what they truly wanted in their new site. But, they knew they’d recognize it when they saw it.
Our team delivered a fresh design featuring clean page layouts and thoughtful visuals. All to celebrate incredible craftsmanship and build brand awareness without losing sight of the story that gives it all meaning.
DEFINING A STYLE
The visual style for the site balances playful elements with a traditional feel. A classic serif typeface nods to the history of guitar-making, complemented by a clean sans serif to enhance readability and add a modern touch. Warm colors were pulled directly from the natural wood tones of the Circle String’s guitars, shaping the site’s color palette and reinforcing a sense of authenticity. Organic details, such as hand-drawn lines, wood shavings, and coffee stains accentuate the handcrafted nature of the brand. Detailed product imagery is paired with candid photos of the team, showcasing both the quality of the instruments and the people behind them.
MARCHING TO OUR OWN BEAT
Something old, something new, something custom, something fun. Rather than telling the Circle Strings story all at once, this thoughtfully constructed brand timeline we built invites visitors to explore key moments that shaped the brand. Our interactive approach turns history into an experience. The user scrolls through each decade, painting the picture of all the pieces that now make up the history of this iconic guitar company.
