Halloween & Costume Association

The Halloween & Costume Association loves Halloween, and is dedicated to sharing that enthusiasm with others. Since we love the spooky season, our collaboration with the Halloween & Costume Association was all treats and no tricks. With a goal of cementing the organization as a go-to source in the industry, we pooled our creativity together to build a website that captured the creativity, fun and community aspects of the holiday and year-round costume parties.

The possible things to dress up as provided ample inspiration for us to make the Halloween & Costume Association’s website intriguing.

To capture their mission of encouraging safe Halloween celebrations and trick-or-treating for kids, we created custom characters, a girl, a dog and other costumed revelers, to be used on the website and in social materials.

Whether they are dressed up as rabbits, pirates or something else, these graphics depict the fun and excitement that comes with taking on a new identity for a night.

Capturing The Spirit of Halloween

In helping the Halloween & Costume Association, above all, we wanted everything from the design assets to the web pages to capture what Halloween is at its core — a celebration of community and self-expression for adults and kids alike. Our graphics encourage everyone to celebrate, “throw a wicked party” and join in the festivities.

Brand Identity

It was essential that the Halloween & Costume Association have an identity rooted in Halloween. The colors we chose, rich shades of orange, yellow, grey and white, set against a rich black, capture the main hues of Halloween night.

Mobile

We wanted to be sure that our designs would be optimized for both web and mobile users, so everyone can learn about how to partake in a safer Halloween, plus get costume ideas wherever they are!

In addition to the web build, we helped kick off their #ALLoween campaign, a national effort to make Halloween even safer, and promote National Trick or Treat Day, which takes place during the first Saturday of October.

“I really appreciate your responsiveness and Hark’s ability to do amazing things quickly! It’s rare that an outside company “gets us” so thoroughly… love our synergy!”
